Textoid OCR is a document-recognition and editing tool provided by the app service team. Use it in accordance with these terms and applicable law. If you disagree, do not submit documents or purchase a subscription. These terms do not limit consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
1. Permitted use
You must have permission to capture, upload and process the content you provide. Do not infringe others’ rights, use the service unlawfully, or bypass attestation and quota controls. You retain rights to your content. Submission authorizes the service team and its processors to handle the content for recognition, result delivery and necessary support.
2. Recognition and storage
OCR may omit or misread text, tables, numbers and reading order. Review results against the source before use or sharing, particularly financial or important information. Recognized formulas are preserved as text/LaTeX; the service does not promise mathematical solving, automatic Excel calculation or perfect reconstruction of every layout.
Downloaded documents primarily stay on your phone. Once a new multi-page task is fully uploaded and submission is confirmed, the server continues its queue and results are retrieved together when processing finishes; closing the app does not require creating the task again. Accepted new-task data and uncollected results have no age-based expiry. Explicit deletion or confirmed receipt enables cleanup under the retention policy. This is not whole-library cloud sync: download and back up important content. After an interrupted upload, check the original task; never blindly resubmit while upstream acceptance is uncertain. Status checks and downloads still require available connectivity and service.
The new library offers local organization, reading, editing, search and content backups. Saving images, changing order or searching does not itself start recognition. Keep the backup index and every volume together. Backups are unencrypted and exclude trash, quota and subscriptions; they are not an entire-app backup or cloud sync. Back up ordinary document history separately in Settings. Opening a share sheet does not confirm that a backup was saved elsewhere.
Book image-PDF and reflowed-text PDF export requires Pro and supports ranges and volumes. Image PDFs do not promise a searchable text layer; reflowed text does not reproduce the source layout. Android system printing and the iOS AirPrint entry have no extra charge and do not require Pro, but need a compatible service, network and printer. Hand off volumes individually. System handoff does not confirm paper output or compatibility with every wireless printer.
3. Introductory pages and available credits
An eligible first-time device that passes verification can receive a one-time allowance of 10 free OCR pages. This is not a free Pro subscription or an automatically converting subscription trial. Unverified devices or devices that already received the allowance may receive none. Clearing data or reinstalling does not reset eligibility.
Select multiple book pages for a task without a fixed App-wide image-count cap on that submission. Actual processing remains subject to available credits, device and storage resources. New recognition uses new quota pages. All plans have no daily recognition-page cap, but each recognized page still requires available monthly, referral or introductory credits. This does not provide unlimited recognition credits or remove server queue and rate controls. Free and Pro offer the same recognition features; Pro does not promise a different accuracy level.
4. Reservations, failures and retries
Uploading images does not spend recognition credits. Actual recognition uses one credit per page, with failed attempts refunded against the original reservation. Checking and retrieving the same results should not spend another credit. An explicitly requested new recognition attempt uses new credits. Submitted tasks remain in the server queue without creating duplicates when the app closes; accepted attempts or those with uncertain upstream acceptance must never be blindly submitted again.
Canceling or deleting does not guarantee a refund for every page; pages already submitted may continue to settle. Contact support with the job ID if a record appears incorrect. Refunding quota pages is separate from refunding a store purchase.
5. Monthly and annual Pro subscriptions
Pro includes 1,000 pages per month, PDF export and removal of the referral footer from sharing/exports. Monthly quota resets on the subscription’s monthly renewal schedule and does not roll over. Annual billing still grants pages monthly, not a full year’s allowance upfront.
The store’s purchase screen shows the actual price, local currency, taxes, billing period and renewal terms. We do not promise a fixed price across regions or a free Pro trial. Purchase availability depends on the products listed in the official store.
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the original store. Manage them before renewal as directed by the store. Access after cancellation and purchase refunds depend on store rules and verified entitlement status. Uninstalling, clearing data or emailing support does not replace store cancellation.
6. Changes and support
Maintenance, security checks or updates may temporarily restrict service; the app may show an update or maintenance notice.
Changes to terms, features or purchase conditions will be reflected here or on the relevant purchase screen. Existing entitlements and statutory rights remain subject to applicable rules.
